I think you should see these two U.S. patents re: marijuana

1) Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and HIV dementia

That’s found here. Weed helps diseases from oxidizing stress (think of diseases caused by, for example, prolonged low-dose aspirin use, dementia and helps people at risk for stroke. Screw that idiot Kennedy at SAM. The government already has evidence to the contrary of that weirdo lifer Washington sylph nancy boy.

2)

The present invention relates to a method for promoting infant feeding, growth or development comprising administering to an infant a formula or a pharmaceutical composition comprising an endocannabinoid in an amount sufficient to promote feeding, growth or development. The present invention also relates to an infant formula comprising an enhanced amount of an endocannabinoid. The infant formula of the invention may be in a powder form or in a liquid form. The infant formula or the pharmaceutical composition may further comprise an endocannabinoid-promoting compound.

Keep reading, the patent claims it should be given to kids, up through adolescence.

Well, call me a book. Are you kidding me? There are accepted patents filed for this already? This whole “medical marijuana” debate is a farce. It’s bullshit. I’m not buying into it any longer. Legalize this plant today. I am so blown away I stopped checking on patents. I feel like I just saw two mountains of bullshit crumble to dust before my very eyes.

  1. This is getting a bit more scujebtive, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of neighbors will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune Social is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

  2. Reblogged this on palmitoylethanolamide4pain and commented:
The mechanism of action of Cannabinoids and endocannabinoids is comparable, although not similar. Cannabinoids like THC can act positively in models of ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, just as endocannabinoids such as PEA can. Although Cannabinoids work also via the CB 1 receptor, reason for the psychoactive high, and PEA does NOT have affinity for this receptor, reason for the lack of psychoactive side effects of PEA.
Since 2000 PEA clearly proved to be active in a wide array of pain, ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
