Star Wars Arbelos

This figure on the right has sort of exploded the non-useful parts of the arbelos. The stack of circles connect to Pappus chain . Theoretically, this chain can go on indefinitely. The figure on the left shows the crescent of the double arbelos joined by the green, brown and wheat circles. The purple circle represents the beer I probably should continue drinking.

Stunting with the Pappus chain

The shape comes up along a curved base, as a Sangaku puzzle like 2,000 years later. Paint was dried.

The red circle has the same area of the arbelos, the blue figure bounded by three half-circles. The two circles along the vertical axis, tangent to it and two other half-circles, are known a archimedean twins

Harold Boas has an elegant paper on the arbelos with many considerations I am exploring.
