I will varnish it. Horizontal dowels connect the four legs as a base. Two are broken off, on one side between the front and back legs. eIt looks as though someone stood on them and cracked them. What do I know. I found this on the side of the road. This peasant chair is a mystery. Legs and backboard thing getting lilac and periwinkle treatments. Then Sharpie for detail, then a protective glaze, then varnish. .
