The cat never had a chance. Give a meme an inch…and it finds us all. This is oil on acrylic, a rework of a found painting of a paint-by-number Japanese garden. Too vibrant. I’m just trying to chill! When I saw this garden image, I knew exactly what to do.

The hard part was waiting roughly eight years to finish it, decisively.
18” x 24”. I left it in a state of dismay for years, a sort of Overwhelmed Cat expression on its face.
Two days ago, I painted a grey diamond shape on the forehead to hood the eyes and change the expression.

I enhanced the stripes. It wasn’t a tabby, but it is now! Deal with it!
