I feel weird about complimentary closings in letters. Unless for the purpose of cheap snark or acerbity, it seems unnecessary, to me at least, to use one at all – that is, until I run across a marvelous one. Most of them are adverbs, a little hobo tagging along on your train of thought. I feel disingenuous, insincere, disrespectful, and tigerish for stealing a good one, like I just pulled a dine-and-dash, but I do it anyways.
